While it is ALWAYS very difficult to part with our babies, sometimes we feel that a certain dog should go to a new home. Maybe they need to be the only dachshund in the home, or possibly they aren’t quite right for our breeding program. Sometimes we find ourselves with too many babies to give them all the quality time they need. Whatever the reason, we look at the prospective new owners very carefully. Dachshunds live to be 15 to 18 years of age and some have been known to live over 20 years. So please don't discount the older dachshund as part of your family, Older dachshunds are easier to train, they don't chew up your shoes, and they make great family dogs and companions. All available dogs are current on vaccines and dewormings.
